NEWTON, Iowa — Myles Rowe, who began his racing journey in go-karting, has made history as the first Black driver to win an INDY NXT Series race. He achieved this milestone by clinching the 75-lap event on Saturday at Iowa Speedway.

Rowe overtook series points leader Dennis Hauger with just 14 laps to go, finishing with a lead of over a second on the 0.894-mile oval gcash slot machine. The past 18 months have not been without challenges, as Rowe has navigated his ascent on the INDYCAR ladder, entering the INDY NXT Series in 2024.
